Very cute cafe that took forever to find! The cafe isn’t facing out to the street, rather in to the block where there is parking for a few cars. Definitely worth the challenge of getting there.

Very stylish and comfortable cafe in Yugawara A lady who managed a cafe in Atami opened her own in August 2019. Even though it is far from Yugawara station and it is difficult to find, it has already become popular among locals. There used to be a bar, but after it closed, no one rented the space for a long time. It took a few months for the owner to renovate the space, but you can appreciate her good sense of design when you see the interior, like the smoky green walls and carefully selected and hand-made furniture. The lunch set includes the main dish, salad, vegetable soup, a small dish and bread. It costs 1,300 yen. If you add a cup of coffee, then it costs 1,550 yen. The prices may be a little bit high compared to other cafes in Yugawara, but I think they are pretty reasonable considering its taste, quality and comfortable atmosphere. Since I love the lunch set, I visited there 2 days in a row. I have had their miso-flavored grilled chicken, hamburger steak and beef braised in white wine. All of them were very tasty. But I want to give special praise to the wonderful bread and buns. Both of them are very soft and fluffy. Their chestnut bread includes an incredible amount of chestnuts. I asked the owner how she makes her bread and buns so springy. She told me that she always steams them for 10 minutes instead of microwaving for 30 seconds. I'm very happy that many good cafes have opened in Yugawara.
